Spring Is Nature’s Reminder to Begin Again 🌿🌷

Spring has always been my favorite reminder that no matter how long the winter feels, brighter days eventually return.

There is something incredibly healing about stepping outside, feeling the warmth of the sun on your face, breathing in fresh air, and watching the world come back to life. It’s one of nature’s gentle ways of reminding us that every season has its purpose—and new beginnings are always possible.

Every spring, I look forward to the little signs that warmer weather has arrived.

We usually have a pair of birds build nests above our doorways, and I never get tired of watching the mom and dad work together to care for their babies. Once the chicks have flown away, we carefully remove the nests…only to watch them return and build again the following year. Some traditions are worth repeating.

My backyard pond also begins to wake up. The frogs start singing their chorus, and the fish become more active as the water warms. Spring also means keeping up with algae, but thankfully my water lilies take care of most of that naturally by midsummer.

One of my favorite gardening memories came from my son years ago. I was deadheading the lilies when he said, “Leave the old flowers, Mom. That’s how they reseed.” He was absolutely right. Today my pond is overflowing with beautiful lilies every summer, and every bloom reminds me of that smart piece of advice.

Of course, spring also means it’s time to mow, rake, weed, and get the garden beds ready for another growing season. There’s something incredibly satisfying about getting your hands in the soil and preparing for what’s to come.

Whether you’re planting vegetables, flowers, herbs, or simply enjoying your morning coffee outside, I hope you’ll take a little time to soak up the sunshine. Fresh air, nature, and a little dirt under your fingernails is good for the soul.

What are you working on in your garden this spring? I’d love to hear your favorite spring traditions or gardening tips in the comments! 🌼🌱
